Despite that you say about the angle and anatomy...I like the visual story behind the situation (open to interpretation) a good illustration always acomplish that (I'm not an english speaker so if I made some mistake please forgive )
I love the way you drew this. it's got a kind of closeness to it, but the sentinel looks just a little peeved, like this isn't the first time this pair has gotten into a tight situation. i can almost hear the banter.
"how do you constantly get us into these situations?"
Ask Picasso if he fucked his anatomy. Dude... don't worry about that... you've succeeded. The goal, if you can call it a goal, is the evocation of human emotion. You have clearly evoked a great deal of human emotion here. Beset on all sides by what promises to be a tortuous, mauling death, two figures pause in mutual defense. They devote a significant measure of their dwindling time, and allocate precious concentration, to express love. The simple act of holding hands when distilled by danger is rendered immeasurably more significant. This is art. You've hit a home run here, and I'd love to buy a print of this.
To me it looks like two sisters have fallen into a very bad predicament. Maybe two knight, both training since children, discovered their relation in adolescence. Later when both are knights they fall into a very serious trap.
The angle does seem a little funny. Though it just seems to add to the surrealism of the situation, along with the rough sketchiness. I love it.
